Meaning: I've been skateboarding for 16 years now and even though it's one of my biggest passions in life, I've never written a single poem about it. So I finally decided to express my love of skateboarding through writing. Also, the trick being described in the poem is a 360 flip...one of my favorites!

Oh the way it feels,

When I hear the sound of those rolling wheels.

My fingers release the nose and I leap forward just as the board falls to the ground.

A sudden rush of adrenaline creeps up as I hear that thunderous sound.

I approach the pyramid with my feet set in place.

A perfectly timed pop and I float through the air with such grace.

The board spins and flips at the same time.

Catching it mid-air feels so sublime.

Now descending slowly toward the other side,

I land, bend my knees, and continue to ride.

Oh the way it feels...

When I hear the sound of those rolling wheels,

It makes me fall head over heels.
