The moon shines on my bed as I drift off to sleep,

My dreams is the way that I keep,

The way that I keep you, my Prince, my everything,

You take my heart with every song you sing,

But keep this a secret, don’t say a word, don’t say a peep

*.*

A daydream that always ends with you,

A daydream that never will come true,

Every daydream, every nap, every night,

Is when you come back into my sight,

But when I wake, your gone, and I’m the fool

*.*

My few spare moments is when I drift away,

Hoping that maybe this time you’ll stay,

The sun shines through the window as I nap,

As I watch you smile, as you tip your cap,

To bid me goodbye, once again,  once again I’ll pay

*.*

You are both my rhythm and my rhyme,

For you, every mountain I would climb,

You haunt my dreams, you never stop coming,

But you also never stop leaving,

I shall always wait for you…every naptime.
