Am I being cynical or could there be something a bit more sinister in the dragging out of Brexit?

Brexit Burnout

Are you suffering from Brexit Burnout, because I know I am? At first, I’d follow everything I could read about it, hear about it, all in an effort to try to make sense of it. It was a worry and I felt definite stress over the potential consequences of it.

Now, three years on, Britain has still not left the EU, and it is debatable whether it ever will. There is no sense to be made of what is going on at all. One report says one thing, another, the opposite. And I have to admit I’ve given up trying to keep up with it. How can anyone make any sense of the shambles that is Brexit in reality.

Maybe it is at this point that we should really worry. So many people are sick to death of it, is this the time that they’ve been waiting for? Less eyes watching, less sense to be made of what is said? Has this been an intentional delay to arrive at the state of apathy within the general population? Or am I just being paranoid?
