Cocktail Hour
Don’t look at the clock, please. I can just imagine that disapproving look if you do.
What is it, 9am? Maybe 10? Way too early in the day for sipping these drinks, at least I can see that is just what you are thinking.
By midday this place will be packed with holiday makers. Screaming, laughter from the pool and all around. And let’s not forget the splashes.
I prefer my cocktails without the addition of chlorine, thank you.
So I’ll take my cocktail hour that bit early then retreat but come midnight I might just return for a repeat.

Mon, June 24th, 2019 9:20pmThis is very good for such a short story, Hully. The second to last line conjured up an amusing image of someone trying to sip a drink amid all the noise and splashing. I wonder who decided what time of day is appropriate for drinking cocktails.
