Enveloping Fog

It’s coming fast across the ocean,

Drifting in from overseas,

This thick and cloying fog

Will engulf all that you see.

Make your way straight to your home,

You need to make it fast;

You’ll have to make your house secure.

Be quick and do it fast!

Shut your doors and windows,

Plug up all the gaps,

Make sure your attic is sealed shut,

Your cellar, too, perhaps.

If you look through your windows,

You’ll see that fog, it isn’t smooth,

It’s hiding some real zombies

As it drifts and makes its move.

They’re looking for a victim,

Their hunger is intense,

And if they should notice you

Your fear will be immense.

They’ll target you, won’t let you go,

They’ll be sure to hunt you down;

So take to your home and hide away

When that fog comes to your town.

These zombies, they are out for blood,

Not to mention real live meat,

Don’t let yourself be enveloped

Or you’ll be certain of defeat.

Just sit tight and wait it out,

This fog will move on past.

Be patient, let it all depart

Or a gruesome fate you’ll cast.
