I Built For Us....
I built for us a little house
way up in the sky
where we can go and visit
or at least that we can try.
It nestles up amongst the clouds
but isn’t what it seems,
for this, it is our sanctuary
in a world of dreams.
I have a boat that takes me there,
I never need to steer,
it finds it’s way there every time,
it knows when you are near.
And for a while we can pretend,
we’ll live the perfect life
and leave behind the problems,
all the troubles and the strife.
And when it comes to waking,
and we both have to go,
there’s something that’s imperative
that you need to know.
This house is well constructed
and it’s always going to stay,
a place for us together
whenever we do find our way.
