I’m sorry to tell you that you have made a right mess of things.”

But surely, it’s not that bad!”

Not that bad? Look at it! Look all around at the things you’ve achieved!”

There was that time that....”

That what! If you mean the time with Francis, you had help. You cannot claim that for yourself.”

But there’s more. I haven’t been a total failure....just give me time to think!”

I could give you all the time in the world and you’d still not convince me.”

Don’t do it! Please....”

I’m sorry. There really is no choice. Sign here. Or make your mark.”

Just one more chance?”

ow! The lessons have been deemed compulsory for you.”

Give in and accept that you need some training. No one ever said that being a Mummy was easy!”

Ha, a great story, Hully!

Thanks, Mike! I'm not sure it quite worked out as I'd planned though.

I guess I could take the easy way out and say 'ha' too but I will be honest and admit that I don't get it. Someone is to be punished for making a mess of being a mother? Or was it being an Egyptian mummy? I think I need a lie down. (Just ignore me. I am having a bad day.)

No, it didn't work out as planned. It was about an Egyptian mummy, but the ending was about how impossible it can seem to be a good parent. It was a twist that ended up more as a tangle -- but never mind. Thanks for giving it a read anyway, Joe.

An interesting revelation at the end. Everyone needs help at some point, even mummies! :)

Ha! Yeah, this one didn't really work out, Jeff. The twist sort of tangled itself and then went flop. No worries though, and thanks for reading.
