Like A Book Store

Following an article I posted yesterday (https://www.booksie.com/590151-freedom-of-speech), some people seem to be thinking that I am trying to enforce some kind of censorship, and are asking who am I to do so.

I answer to the last part, I am no one, just another member.

In answer to the first part, there is no more censorship on Booksie than there would be in any normal book store. They would not stock material that was excessively pornographic. Neither would they stock material that was excessively and explicitly ultra-violent.

Booksie Silk provides a platform for more erotic content but I do not think it has any platforms for content of the explicitly ultra-violent kind. No doubt there are sites out there that provide such a service.

I think that regarding content there is a simple question to ask yourself. Would my local book supplier accept such content? Of course it does no harm to give warnings in the description if you feel it is not suitable for younger readers; also for excessive swearing, violence, or content of an adult nature.

I don’t believe in censorship but I do know that Booksie has members of all ages. Think like a book store for they, too, are open to everyone.
