No News Is Good News.

Just look at the clock
Sit down in the room
It's time for our dose
Of doom and of gloom.

There's been an earthquake
Turning towns into dust
People have been beaten
By others they trust.

There's been a bomb blast
There is a war
More hostages taken
Don't know what for.

A new disease is rampant
It's killing quite a few
And that is on top of
Several types of flu.

There's going to be a strike
Effecting how you travel
Society, or so it seems,
Is starting to unravel.

What about the dollar,
The euro and the pound?
Another financial crisis
To pull us to the ground.

Even sports have joined in
With fatal falls and tumbles
There's doping here, and doping there
And always constant grumbles.

If it is our lucky day
They'll end with something fun
Something to make us laugh a bit
But it is still not done.

For then we have the forecast
Bringing us more sorrow
Freezing cold and pouring rain
We've always got tomorrow!
