What some seem to want! Please note: sarcasm is the name of the game.

Slumming With The Best

I’m gonna dress down and I’m gonna dress good,

Get myself kitted up like no good girl should.

Pull on these stockings, kick on these heels,

find just how being tall really feels.

This skirt, it is tight, a job to put on,

but finally up – where’s the length gone?

If it was longer I might struggle to walk,

but as it is – I imagine the talk.

The top is a challenge, must be revealing

but still do it’s job of partial concealing.

I’ll toss back my hair in a wild wavy mane;

the make-up I’m wearing, so far from plain.

Lips are so red you’ll never resist,

eyes kind of heavy, as though sleep persists.

You’re there in my sights now, on I will strut,

I was too nice and you wanted a slut.

I move in real close and shuffle so near

and in a loud whisper, I say really clear

I’m your Barbie girl, in your Barbie world,

You know it will be fantastic to tangle with some plastic.”

I’ve laid down the gauntlet, your attraction is clear,

but you are ashamed now it’s me that you’re near.

But you better believe, I can slum it real good,

don’t give me reason, or maybe I would.

Nice, Hully, and some of the torture devices women wear?

Well, not my sort of thing, really, but you know how I love to make 'Barbie' digs!

From the craziness of Alice to the tarty world of Barbie! You sure know how to diversify Hully. Well done, nice one!

Ha! Thanks, Sue. Not a grain of truth in it of course....if there was, there would sure be a few raised eyebrows!

It was not meant to be taken seriously, Jaylisbeth, so I'm glad you saw it that way. Sarcasm, I guess.
Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment.

It's a sad thing that people cave into what others want instead of going for what they want for themselves. Self-respect, dignity, happiness - it tends to fly out the window in order to please everyone except the most important person in their life. It's a compromise I refuse to make.
You've certainly captured that compromise and illustrated the prison from which it springs. Well done!
