The Imaginarium Picture Prompt 33.

A car parked on the edge of a cliff, overlooking a city, and possibly, the sea. Are there people, or a person inside the car? Or has it been dumped, abandoned? Perhaps accidentally driven too far forward. Or is this a ‘Thelma and Louise’ situation, where the decision has to be made whether to keep on driving to oblivion?

It’s an old car, a classic model. Maybe it has landed there through some kind of time travel. Or perhaps it’s a treasured possession taken and left in such a precarious position as an act of revenge.

This is one of those prompts that really can be used in so many ways. Probably easiest as a short-story prompt, but if it inspires anything else, that’s fine too.

Any members of Booksie can make use of this and previous prompts, whether you’ve just joined or have been a member for years. It is not a writing competition, but a writing challenge or a way of battling the block. There are no winners, no losers, just writers that want to take part.

Why not pop along to the Imaginarium House. If you like what you see, just press ‘join’; there is no need for an invitation, and you’ll find that you will be more than welcome.

If you want to take part but do not want to join the house, message me, or send me a ‘Quickee’; I’ll guarantee you a read and comment.
