If the sky had a face,
It would glare at me.
I hang my head in self shame,
And wait for expected misery.

If the world had a temper,
It would unleash it.
I am useless, your words I remember,
I go on every day feeling like this.

If thunder had a target,
I would be the bulls-eye.
I see the calendar, the date, I mark it,
To remember the uncountable times I cried.

If the rain could,
It would drown me.
I, too, hope it would,
To end my eternal suffering.

If demons wanted food,
I would gladly volunteer.
My mental state you cannot soothe,
Your admitted love I cannot hear.

The words your speaking are to try and take my pain away,
But remember this-my love will never fade.
Which means this pain is here to stay,
And every day, every second, I will always love you the same.
