When death kisses our parched lips

And frees our lungs of air

Do we float to heaven

Sink to Hell

Or disappear completely?

Heaven

Is believed to be brilliant shades of white

Warm sunshine

And joyous thoughts.

Angels fly upon feathered wings

Gracing harp with angelic fingers

And humming the secret of life.

Hell

Is believed to be brilliant shades of ruby

Heated wildfires

And damned thoughts.

Demons fly upon merciless visions

Tarnishing souls with skinned fingers

And chanting the curse of life.

Nothing

Is believed to be nothing.

No air, no breath, no savior

No sense of an afterlife.

Just poof,

And life is over.

I wonder which one is true.
