The blank screen stares at me

The cursor blinks with each passed second

Waiting, begging, pleading to move.

Fingers dance upon the keys

But only lightly,

Not enough to press them.

My mind is spinning in every direction

Trying to get all that’s happened down in ink

But impossible to begin.

Muscles are tight,

My legs ache, wanting to scream.

My eyes burn

As if cyanide was poured over them

Killing my pupils.

As I think this

My mind drifts back to the blank screen

And still it stares with cursor eyes.
