I see sweet smile
and hear cute laughs
as they rush down the stairs
not wanting to be last.
They all shout and stare
as they come closer to see
the shiny, light boxes
hidden underneath me.
I sweetly watch over
till they are done
and slip on my cover
hiding me from the sun.
They do this every year
but its all right with me
because Im still glad I got to live
the life of a Christmas Tree.
