Consumed by fire, yet numb to the burn.

As I climb from the depths of Hell, my heart

begins to yearn.

“Free me from the blinding rage

you have set upon me. Let me love,

let me explore, or just let me be.”

My twisted mind, resistant to any

warm embrace. “You are mine to

control and we much despair to face.”

“Madness, fear, hatred. Let these be

your guiding light. The world shall cower

to your destructive, brooding might.”

As my heart ponders this troublesome

conundrum, my soul is torn between the

Darkness and the Heavenly Kingdom.

“Succumb to evil, or pledge myself to

good? What choice will let me soar as

high as I should?”

The heart needs to love, the mind loves

to hate. The soul, torn between two entities,

awaits it’s unknown fate.
