Being new to this site, I wanted to write a dark, brooding poem. For some odd reason those are easier for a relatively happy guy like me to do, lol. It's a quick look into a "virtuous" soul that isn't as pure as one would think...

Sinister eyes peer into

My virtuous soul. Lamenting

To turn it black.

“My essence is not to be tarnished!”

I said, taken aback.

“For my soul is already as ebon as

the night sky.

Corpses of fallen foes have

been burned into my eyes!”

Peering into my heart,

These eyes knew what was true.

The crimes I have committed.

Payments that were due.

For I am the Darkness,

My compassion forever torn.

Quiver in fear, my children.

I am Satan reborn…
