Two wrongs don't make a right. Especially in a relationship.

When I look into your eyes I see so much
I see sorrow; I see self-directed hatred
Beside this I see love, care, compassion-
Then I remember the words that you said
The simple words that took the life from me
"It was equilibrium."
When I look away from you, I still see your face
I see your eyes; I see that amazing smile
Then I see what you are inside; what you tried to hide
Then I remember all the times I fell to the tile
The simple words that led to my torture
"It was equilibrium."
When you saw me that last time, you looked honestly sad
You saw the true me, and I had no bruises
What did you expect?  A broken little girl hiding in herself?
I wasn't acting, I really do miss you, and my heart loosens
Then I speak the words that you had said:
"It is equilibrium."
When the words come out of my mouth, I feel regret
But this is what I mean, and I won't take it back
It was your excuse to make two wrongs a right
Indeed it was my fault, but I didn't expect your attack
Then I think about what it truly is.
It isn't equilibrium
When the I was with you, I was happy
But that time is past, I have found one who is true
This isn't an excuse, not in the least
I just thought it was right of me... to tell you
It wasn't equilibrium, it never was
