More poetry about my step-dad's faulty parenting skills. Yes, yes, angst-filled. Enjoy.

So fragile, so delicate
The world was built upon glass
I was innocent
I was stupid

Marshmallow clouds and conversation hearts
The only two things I thought of
The world was so simple, so easy to love
My heart was wide open

Then my mother met him.

No more candy hearts or butterfly kisses or tickles
Only yelling and crying and shame to suffice
The world of glass shattered
Now there was a new world- the harsh reality

So fragile, so delicate
The world was built upon glass
I was innocent, I was stupid
Not anymore
