You tell me that I am wrong,
tell me I'm worthless
But I've thought this through all along
Although I was confident, now I feel stupid

You tell me that I am a disgrace,
tell me I'm a mistake
I don't know who or what I am to replace
But I know that I'm not good enough

You tell me that I am a freak,
tell me it's just a phase
What should I be?  What should I seek?
I've learned not to ask these questions anymore

You tell me that it's my fault,
tell me everything is
Your words sting my wounds like salt
I should be used to this by now

You pretend around them, you want them to see
you as a man- as a father
I can't speak, your influence has silenced me
Faking a smile, faking a laugh, it's so difficult still
