My heart was broken
Someone had to pick up the pieces
But it sure as hell won't be me
You took the time to unfold the creases
In the battered tome that was my soul
Why would you do this
Make me better than I thought possible?

The mirror of my life was broken
with my own fist
Unifying the pieces, you breathe the mist
that I intentionally lose myself in every day

Then you withdraw
Remind me of the promise that you made
The promise that bound you to me
yet made you just out of my reach

Your pact
My curse

You promised not to hurt me
