The story revolves around a clueless bipolar part time muse named John and his somewhat dysfunctional relationship with his best friend Chloe. They both love each other, they know they were meant for each other, but somehow life always got in the way. It is written from the eyes of John and it centers around his need to get over his own issues, find himself, his voice and eventually his true love while avoiding the pitfalls of his mental condition and his self defense mechanism of withdrawing into seclusion when things go awry.

Prologue

In present day, John Donnie is a reclusive famous author. He writes columns in various magazines and online sites about his life and his observations of others. He has a grandious idealistic view of the world and has adoroned quite a following of fans devoted to his simplistic views on what it means to be human.

John hides behind his written words and despite having a very public persona, he is incredibly private. Driven to seclusion due to various events in his recent past, he struggles with bipolar disorder and his new found fame that only came to be within the past couple of years. He has only one real relationship, his life long best friend Chloe Sullen.

Broken from his seclusion by two masked men and a gun, John realizes that he does not want to live the rest of his life in secluded comfort. Taking a chance he always feared to do before, he begins to take the steps he feels is necessary to make Chloe more than his best friend. Read Chapter
