I was alone,
You were new,
I was struggling,
Yet you were cool,
I realised then,
How alike we were,
And when you grinned,
I'd say, "You really are her,"
And smile wide.
You were like something from fantasy,
And I wouldn't of cared normally,
But I was drawn to you,
It was quite easy.
You grew on me,
And I'm glad you saw,
More than me.
Maybe one day,
I'll have the guts to say,
That you brought the galaxy my way,
And that I am happy that you could see the real me.
So in this bad yet meaningful poem I speak,
Though I know you'll never read this,
Maybe I could truly say the words,
The ones that won't ever mean the world to you,
I could just whisper them,
Whisper, "I love you,"
And I'd hope though it would be only dreams,
That you'd whisper back,
"I love you too."
