What you give to me

A year of challenge and laughter has passed us by,

With tears and cuddles, harder you say I must forever try.

My love for you never in question my beautiful girl,

You make my heart melt when you walk by winking with a twirl.

Your smile enough to melt the thickest of Ice,

With a kiss that seals a busy day and a cuddle that’s just as nice.

I am complete with you by my side Amanda, love of my life,

Can’t wait until next year, at last I get to call you my Wife.

Grounded I am now with your strong spirit and witty tongue,

Beside you laughing and joking, you always make me feel energised and oh so young.

Looking into your eyes now I see strength, tears and so much love,

All after having to lean on you as the family spine and calming dove.

I will do my upmost to bring you the happiness you desire,

From this very day, up until we both sit back to retire.

So when I ask “What have you done for me lately”?

Simply reply – Love, peace and happiness is what I give to thee.

For you Amanda
