Summary

eh... I saw a poster that said smile at me and this poem just popped into my head a few days later. I guess I wrote it because I thought i could do so much better than the crap that they put on school posters.

Smile at me.
A friend of mine died today.
Only you wouldn’t know it.
I hide it too well.

Smile at me.
I lost my job today.
Only you wouldn’t know it.
I did my crying in the bathroom.

Smile at me.
It’s my birthday today.
Only you wouldn’t know it.
I’m afraid of aging.

Smile at me.
It will bring me some warmth.
Because you wouldn’t know
I’m breaking up inside.

Smile at me.
I dare you, I implore you.
For a moment,
Make everything alright.
