It's just a piece of ribbon,
A small piece of purple lace,
Tied around a gift of yours,
That you passed along to me.

It's just a little moment,
A wee slip of space and time,
Held by thread and weaving string,
That your hands tied into this.

It's just a little proxy,
A symbol of your beauty,
Passed though a few of your line,
That you handed down to me.
