Keira Grayson isn't your normal teen, really, she happens to posses supernatural abilities yet is seemingly human. Sometimes she even thinks she's human sometimes, but then her heightened senses remind her otherwise. Well, to put it straight, she's a werewolf. Yeah like the ones like in the books and movies, except she's real. But she hates every waking minute of it. Luckily for her, her wolf is submersed somewhere within herself and it hasn't surfaced since her first shift. Which was the worst experience of her life. Since her first shift on her 16th birthday, she hasn't shifted. She doesn't hear her wolf and never has, not like she minds. She hates being what she is, and hates werewolves in general, blaming them for everything bad that's happen to her. She believes they are complicated creatures that have no place in her life––except for her brothers that is and her "uncle" Hendricks and his son.

Yet with all that in mind, she's still being forced to live in Sliver Pines, a town in North Dakota that happens to have the largest population of wolves, a sum 3,000 wolves there. And why? Because being a wolf means you need a pack, the pack is what a wolves life revolves around. Yet Keira finds that it's unnecessary for herself, so she wears a magical necklace that hides her scent so she stays hidden from other wolves. But her brothers on the other hand...despite their parents hiding them from wolves their whole lives, want to join a pack.

This kept her and her brothers divided, but they all respected each other's decisions in the end and decide to make it work whether they liked it or not.

Keira for the most part is unhappy, but that'll all change once she meets Ryder Pierce. He changes her life completely turning it upside down from collected and calm to loud and carefree. He causes her to realize many things about herself and who she really is, and their relationship isn't easy, but in the end no relationship is easy. They're definitely meant to be, but once they realize it, will it be too late?
