Two puppeteers. One to my left, the other to my right.
Stood over me, distorting that sun light.
I tried to build, the broken, and preserve the extinct.
It’s funny how good intentions got me into this,
all I wanted was to relieve stress from a friend.
now I’m a their slave, to the dreary end.
Suddenly, I feel trapped like a rat.
The walls are collapsing in; doors slamming shut.
I’m hanging from the ceiling. Head bowed to you both.
All I want, is to break free from those bonds,
but I try, and they grow stronger.
Pulled, this way and that. To you, to her.
Doing your biddings, carrying out your commands,
demolishing, and destroying, what I only wanted to build.
Reduced to a skipping rope, constantly, being tugged on.
Knotted, pulled, and twisted.
By two childish kids, who just won’t let go of grudges.
And I am tired. You both want control,
but that will be your downfall… and mines too.
