I promised not to write another poem for you

But tonight, I'm feeling blue

Thinking of you is all I seem to do

And the clock just struck two

I've already given up the fight

I know it is what's right

Why would I risk something blight

Then end up falling from a great height?

I'm the one to blame

For all the idiocy and the shame

That I have put upon my name

Because I played love's damn game.
