THE OLD LADY(Pseudonym: DESERT LION)

The old lady sat alone in the dark.

Her eyes were heavy and wet with rain.

The air was angry and it did bark.

She cursed the rain calling it insane.

Sitting in despair with that cruel rain;

“Why am I alive” she thought.

Still cried for help but in vain;

She missed her angel a lot.

Hours passed but the rain was still there.

The wind had stepped in and it did roar.

She sat in that corner clutching her hair.

Suddenly there was a bang at the door.

The door opened and there stood a man.

The old lady’s weak eyes recognized him at a glance.

His eyes were heavy and wet with rain.

She knew who he was just by his stance.

“I knew you will come, my angel my son”

Joy in her heart and tears in his eyes.

She hugged him and kissed him, her angel her son.

With her wish fulfilled, in his arms she dies.
