STORY OF A TREE
The tree was withering away.
Branches were stiff with pain;
Leaves ready to fell without rain.
The air was angry that day.
The leaves couldn’t resist the air;
They came off and fell everywhere.
A wood-cutter passed that way;
And brought down the tree.
That day he was very gay;
Those leaves he wouldn’t see.
He walked over them crushing them all;
This was the story of a tree’s downfall.
