What about Earth?
The trees are twisted black marble
shapes are lost in smoke
what we see is grey, lumpy garble
the future is far from clear
this planet was once beautiful
fresh meadows grew here
the grass was apple, the trees pear
everything to touch; clean and fresh
animals danced, fox, bird, hare
a race here called the humans, they helped Earth along
let the planet spread its wings
as they chirped in joyous song
the humans were heroes
until one day
they prepared with their arrows
when an evil shadow crept across the surface
sent from a distant planet
to rid humans of their purchase
pollution tricked them
gave them cars, TVs, technology
said to the fools ‘after this Earth will be a little gem’
so humans used the amazing things
at first it proved helpful
the humans seemed to win
but soon it took its toll
humans worshipped this power
but it was written on the scroll
humans have fallen petty, now we shall win
we will purge other planets to give in to pollution
the humans thought their technology would be enhanced
but they will be the destroyers of their own planet
and they will have no second chance
and so the humans died, along with Earth
that is why here you see nothing but black
and so soon after a new planet’s birth
because of us, comes Earth’s death.

Don’t let us kill our world with pollution
We’re not getting a second chance

EARTH
IT’S ALL WE’VE GOT
