This is one of the most personal things I have posted on here. Almost deleated it when I wrote it but I bit the bullet and decided to keep it.

The Daughter

He worries about her

Hopes she is ok

Hopes she will return to him

She hates with her mind

Inside her heart still loves

She's tired of being a little girl

Pictures he holds

Happy times caught inside

Sweet little girl lost

He knows inside herself she's there

The Daughter

Of to find herself

Turn after turn

Falling deeper into the wrong

He sits as she walks through the door

He remembers the hugs he used to get

The smile on her face

No longer there

A tattoo of a demon above her belly button ring

Too young for that

She smiles for someone that has no respect

Too young for what she's already done

He sits as she walks through the door

He feels he is losing his 'Hope'

He watches her climb the stairs

He see's her desend with a bag over her shoulder

She heads for the door

"Fuck you, fuck mum, I'm out of here"

A car waiting outside

He grabs her hand

Pleads for her to stay

She pulls away

Bag hits his face

He sits at home as the phone rings

He hangs up, tears fall from his face

He leaves with great haste

She cry's

Her dad wipes them away

She smiles again

"I didn't mean to hurt"

"Forgive me for hurting everyone"

He stands, leads her out the door

Home at last

The Daughter

His daughter

His life.
