Screams pierced June's early virgin skies

Agony filled every crevice

And line, as your soul left for the heavens

Warmth extinguished, a corpse so still

Your skin marred by death’s icy chill

For the ill, there’s no miraculous pill

Mother, daughter, tarnished by grief

Distraught, by a moment so brief

It hurts the heart and soul, slaughters belief
