There is always that one. Carrie had Mr. Big (though they eventually married); Kevin Arnold had Winnie; for young Jackie Burkhardy it was Michael Kelso. Some people are so attractive and enigmatic we go against our better judgement and let them in. This guy, and the poems that came from being involved with him, taught me to let the right one in. Let the right one in. Let the right one in. Can't be said enough.

When it comes to you I love with my head

I would never risk my heart

You did not appreciate it in the past

and I don't expect you to start

No feelings at all is what we agreed

So I have held them all inside

You were so busy wiping her tears

that you never saw when I cried.

Damn myself for loving you

Even though you will never know

So while my silly heart is pleading to stay

My head is telling me to go.
