I wrote this in 2009.

Their night is closing while ours has yet to begin.

The drinks are fleeting.

I see you against the wall and my heart won't stop beating.

Once the clock strikes four a.m. time ceases to exist.

It is you and I and no one else.

The quiet of the early morning.

We keep it to ourselves.

The highlight of my night occurs in the dawn.

It is the time when you and I coalesce.

It is the time I feel pure among all this mess.

Don't let go and don't go letting me.

I am fear-stricken if you are unseen.

I am a statue; motionless.

and you are the voice behind the dream.
