You're a product of a genus and a species.
You’re adhesive methodical radial threads.
You're the dew drop rosary
Where prey pray for pity.
You're a rain-dazzler, light-catcher,
house-haunter, hair-tangler.
You’re a very efficient tangle of proteins with big names.
You're The Mrs.’ seductive patron of feasts,
and the fancy work of her traitorous feet.
Your silken firework’s shimmering bulls-eye
is an altar for cannibals.

You're a chapter in a textbook.

but to me, sticky aftermath
to still-curious fingers
and treeforts and playgrounds
and Elmer's and glitter
