'She's just a child', they say

'She won't remember this day

These words don't hurt her

It won't go further

The reason she acts out

Is not her self doubt

She's just simply bad

And words should be had

I see no reason

To stop all the teasing

Children don't care

When someone pulls their hair

They aren't affected

By being rejected

Cruel words mean nothing

It's not worth discussing

She'll get over it

Won't hear another word of it

You needn't worry

We needn't hurry

She'll be just fine'

You said it every time

I promise you this

I was just a kid

But it still hurt

Did I really deserve

To always be ignored?

To always have the door

Slammed in my face

And now I hate that place

Because kids have feelings

Their wounds need healing

Bullying should be stopped

We're not doing enough
