I apologize,
for this bleeding heart.
I am sorry,
for being torn apart.

I love you dear,
I really do.
Yet I am scared of you,
it is true.

Will you leave?
Darling, please don't.
Though you can't make be believe
that you truly won't.

I am scared,
for my child.
She who is not here yet,
delicate but wild.

Will she need you?
The answer is yes,
but will you stay?
I can't hope to guess.

Don't do her,
the way he has done me.
Don't tear away
her hopes and dreams.

Darling, I'm sorry
for being unable to trust.
But I have to guard our hearts,
I simply must.
