I open my scars, my defenses bleed out
With my sorrow my joy and my pain
Destroying my past and tearing down these walls
To find myself once again

Afraid of yesterday, uncertain of tomorrow,
Not wanting to be in today
I'm lost in these webs that you spun from your lies
Detained from the truth I will not stay

You rip the band-aid from my heart
Wanting me to fall apart
Only to find I've stitched it up
To your dire dismay I wont give up

Love is just another word
You use to get your way
To my profound content I'll watch
Your charm slowly decay

I wont stand idle as you go about
Seeking weakness and vulnerability
You render innocence in your pursuit
But I will be their remedy.
