I stand towering over all,
keeping watch.
I am a messenger.
I tell you when our people die,
when the fires are roaring,
when a child first sees the light,
or when mutiny strikes.
I tell you of each changing moment,
big or small, joyful or sad.
My voice rings out through the streets
bellowing, and beckoning to all.
I’m constantly changing,
never the truly the same
I’m always here, yet somehow gone
some may say I'm timeless
others just say stone.
I have a thousand pieces,
each individually their own.
Cheering each other on
as they work as a whole
I’m the messenger of time.
