Tightrope.

My interpretation on addiction.

I balance on this tightrope,
they all call it denial,
I call it hope.
Below there's a pile.
A pile of those who fell,
fell from their rope,
now they're in hell,
on a downward slope.
I'm not an addict.
I can stop when I like,
yet I need a fix.
I can't sleep at night.
My rope is snapping,
I fall to the ground,
There's a lady- she's smiling.
"You're in rehab now."

interesting view of addiction...falling down into hell..or rehab..It's interesting, addiction can be like flying high, but when others try to help that person, it can be like getting a rude awakening like for example falling straight to the ground. It wakes you up, and it's hard to get up, but it's all for the best! Good poem! I like seeing various perspectives on many subjects and this was very interesting! :)

I thought it was good, the end I thought was a bit funny especially when she said "you're in rehab now" but it rhymed and didn't have bad grammar.
p.s. I was going to read the prophecy of angles but I decided to do it later because I was working on on of my works. Thanks for reading my stuff, too.

Wow. This is amazing. I really like the whole theme of it, and the fluidity. The last line was kind of funny, in contrast to the serious tone in the upper part of the poem. Seriously, nice work! :)
