No more mum and dad’s taxi

Buses, or cadging a lift

You can go where you want

Independence to do what you wish

In the beginning there’s fear

 Apprehension, but also the thrill

 Of at last being behind

 The steering wheel !

POM, MSM, Moving off and Stopping

Help !  I don’t know what I’m doing

I’ll never get to grips

With this Biting Point stuff !

Then it clicks, Hey ! What was so hard ?

This moving off thing, it isn’t so bad

But the stopping!..........

Now I’m braking too hard !

Each lesson there is something new

Dealing with traffic, junctions, emerging

Driving through town, traffic lights

Oh my God, don’t want to stall, this is so scary !

Then roundabouts, the worst of them all

How do I know when to go ?

I wish the cars would go more slowly

Then I could see what they intend to do

Why don’t they indicate ?

Hey mate !, give us a clue

How can I tell?

What you’re going to do ?!

Take it easy and plan your approach

Remember your procedures

Correct speed and gear

With enough time, all will be clear

Hey, this driving lark it’s just so cool

Turn in the road, left reverse

Parallel and bay parking

 I’m really progressing now

Theory passed and my test is looming !

The big day dawns, I’m so nervous

All the way round my left leg shaking

I hope I pass, I want it so badly

I’ve passed first time, what a relief

Thank you, thank you for your patience

For making it all such fun

This Driving School is number one!
