Something I've Never Really Known.

I'm aching for something

Something I've never known

Love is felt only with red hot fury

Fury disguised as a beautiful rose

-

Lost in sad thoughts of a troubled past

A past painted in vivid brush strokes

Endless nights void of morning light

Light dimmed, melted away while I tried to fight

-

I fade out under your beastly shadow

Shadows mingle with my bitter soul

I watch you smile then die a little inside

Inside is a jagged hole, I cry to help it hide

-

I was buried alive because nobody cared

Cared to look closer at the pain, at the despair

I know now, I too was once a human

Humans live and breathe the morning air

-

And though you still are, I am a corpse

Corpse don't breathe, they're dead, they're rotten

And I know that I'm painfully aching to live

Living; aching for something I've never really known
