What can chaise the darkness away?

an entry for Dibble dabble!

Darkness consumes all of me,

a mask held high to fool thee.

But at dawn it is torn apart,

spider like hands breaking from my heart.

A glowing bulb that is the sun,

climbs higher still as I run.

Tearing through paddocks dusted with snow,

It is through the sheep that I slow.

The sun climbs above the trees,

chasing the darkness and the freeze.

In awe I stand arms wide open,

thinking of how I'm going to put this in a poem.

You would not believe how many times I have noticed sunlight or moonlight with the contrast of shadow...It is some of the most incredible sight to my eyes. You paint a wonderous environment with your words, and I am enjoying the peek into your world. You seem to find a world beyond the canvas of mine. Thank you for the stunning visuals of your poetry!
