I wrote this shortly after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. What if Liberty were to send a letter to Terror, in response to the 9/11 attack?

Terror,

It seems to many that you have triumphed. As the world watched, your sons sacrificed themselves in your name, in the delusion of glory. They hurled themselves and hundreds of innocents at me, bent on one thing: My destruction. Meanwhile, more of your wretched children danced in the streets and burned my fluff.

Oh, you have tried before; Car bombs and suicide bombers aplenty, but this was your deadliest and most desperate yet.
Thousands of my sons and daughters have died and millions of lives changed forever. In just one hour, it seems you have destroyed what has taken hundreds of years of toil and planning to create. What has cost millions of lives to purchase, you seem to have stolen with but a few miserable, cowardly and worthless slaves.
Even so, this letter is not to tell you that you have won, but to give you a message that comes not only from me, but from the hearts of all my children. It is a message we wish for you to take back to the Hell that spawned you. It is not a plea or a cry for mercy. It is a cry, no, a roar of defiance: YOU HAVE FAILED AGAIN!!

From every corner of this great land that is my domain and every nation that stands by us in this great tragedy we say to you: WE DEFY YOU!
Instead of cowering in fear, brothers have joined brother and sisters have joined sisters in the common bond that strikes fear in your heart and in the hearts of all your slaves: Courage.

Can you see it from that miserable stinking abyss where you reside? That dark hole from which you ooze your filthy poison into the cowardly hearts and weak minds of those you enslave?

See how firemen and policemen put their lives on the line to find and save those who are trapped under the rubble of your destruction? See how paramedics and medical personell work day and night without sleep to save the wounded; How people throng to give life-saving blood for those they have never met, and millions kneel to pray to our great God for His blessing on us all, even for the pitiful lost souls of those who caused it all?
So you see, you may have your moments of pleasure, but they are just that-mere moments.

I, and those in whose hearts I reside, as well as the Holy Father, will always triumph. I, Liberty, am here to stay, while you and all your cowardly slaves are doomed to eternal damnation.

Sincerely,
Liberty

P.S
Tell your pathetic people that they may dance in the streets today, but revenge comes on swift wings….
