“Can’t you see that I want you?” Tristan’s breath was light on her cheek as he continued to spin her around the terrace. He pulled her closer. “You are more than I have ever wanted.”
She breathed in deeply, feelings rushing up and down her spine. She closed her milky brown eyes. “But you can’t want me.” She convinced herself, shaking her head as she let herself fall into him.
His fingers started to stroke her hair and his other arm was still wrapped around her back pulling them closer still until it was hard to tell who was who. Where one started and the other ended. “Mesalie, don’t you feel it?”
Those words set her on fire then and she let him tilt her head until she saw clearly into his purple eyes. His blonde hair tickled over his eyes playfully although the look in his eye would never be considered playful.

“Mesalie, I want you.”

That was it. She was done. Tristan descended upon her and she felt as though this was what she was made for. This was why she was alive. She was made to love this man. To kiss this man.
Their lips met quickly as she felt him easily move over hers in a fashion that made her feel unglued. She closed her eyes and let her arms rise to greet him welcomingly. Mesalie pushed upward as her fingers tangled with his blonde locks.
It was exquisite. She cautiously let her tongue come out and he opened his mouth to allow her access. Tristan’s eyes were closed as well as his hands roved up and he held her up to him, his arm’s encasing her in a tender grip as though he was worried that he would break her.
She felt so small compared to him. He ran his fingers through her brown hair and let the feeling of defenselessness tumble over him. Tristan let himself stop thinking. He made himself stop analyzing and stop calculating. There was only one thing important to him.

Mesalie La’Crane.

She was his. At this moment he didn’t have to think. He didn’t have to believe that if he no longer function the world would collapse. For his heart was beating, his lungs were breathing, his hands could feel her, and that was all that he needed at that moment.
