Hungry and homeless,  Do you know what's its like

Hungry and homeless,  No bed for the night

Hungry and homeless Can you spare us any change

THE STREET

You Look

And I see the pity in your eyes

The money drops

You seeth at the sight

But believe it or not

I'm not a bummer on the streets

I just had a raw deal

But it's alright for you, alright for you

Never known love

Just a street corner

That's my home, that's my lot

I ask for a cigarette

You begrudge me even that

'Get a job' you say

Like you're acting like some Father

You don't know what it's like

How can you compare

You've lived Your life

A different life

But this is Me

This who I am

I've lived this way

Can I ever change

Put me in a room

I'll run away at night

To the Street , to the Street

This is my life

No other way

But Teach me whats right

Guide me

Show me the light

And bring me home

And I'll be alright
