I sometimes feel as though I'm losing what is uniquely me when I must interact with society.

My fading soul whispers

In my ear. I cannot obey

Commands I cannot hear.

“What? What?” I lament.

Mascara tears mark my face.

I no longer know who I am.

How can I be me

When the door of Society

Locks me away

From individuality?

I’m only human!

Weakness is my strength

As I bend and fade

With the whims of those around me.
