Her beauty pulls me in,
Her bony grasp takes me further
From myself.
"Follow me, mon amour."
She knows her way with words.
Her whisper sends a chill through me.

"Mon amour, you will be beautiful."
She caresses me with the hope of
Something more.

Ana is my friend,
Mon amie.
My demon,
The bringer of my pain.
And still, I can't let go of her.

I love her,
Though she is my pain.
The hope she brings is lost in her shadows.
Shadows that only the light can melt away.
